British citizens, newly arrived in Germany after January 2021, will need an appropriate residence permit to stay and take up employment in Germany.

The salary limits for the issue of an EU Blue Card are adjusted every calendar year. For 2021 the minimum gross annual salary is € 56,800. For jobs in the MINT occupational fields, a reduced annual minimum gross salary of € 44,304 applies.
